Hidalgo is set to become a hotspot for romance tourism through Expo Outlet de Eventos 2023. This event, scheduled from October 18 to 22 at the Tapai Salon in San Javier, aims to promote Hidalgo as the perfect destination for couples in love. The expo will feature promotions on products, tourist packages, and services, offering attendees a glimpse of the state’s natural, cultural, and gastronomic treasures, making it an attractive option for romantic getaways.
Sandra Camacho, the Director of Liaison for the Ministry of Tourism in Hidalgo (Secturh), highlighted the agency’s goal to position romantic tourism as a significant industry within the country, supporting the local value chain, which plays a vital role in the state’s economy. Camacho mentioned the “Hidalgo Marry Me” program, which establishes partnerships with the region’s leading destinations.
Maritza Rodríguez, President of the Hidalgo Weddings and Events Cluster, underlined the global popularity of romance tourism, with Mexico already receiving 23 percent of this travel segment. She expressed the desire for Hidalgo to join this percentage and be recognized as a top romantic destination, given the state’s stunning landscapes and venues.
The organizers of Expo Outlet de Eventos 2023 view romance tourism as encompassing activities like proposals and destination weddings, citing Hidalgo’s suitable infrastructure for hosting national and international tourists seeking unique and magical experiences.
Frida Hinojosa, the coordinator of the Hidalgo Events Outlet, announced that more than 26 suppliers with over 12 years of experience in the event industry will participate in this year’s expo. The event will be open from 12:00 to 19:00, catering not only to romance tourism but also graduation and quinceañera celebrations.
Visitors can expect to meet 16 certified wedding planners and various industry leaders offering a wide array of services, from décor and entertainment to catering and photography. With this impressive lineup, attendees can find everything they need to ensure their events are truly unforgettable.
The event’s organizers have also revealed their intention to forge connections with local suppliers, including hotels, restaurants, florists, travel agencies, photographers, decorators, catering services, and musicians, thus strengthening the entire value chain associated with romance tourism.
