The Mexico City Tourist Festival will take place from March 25 to 27, in conjunction with the Tourist Tianguis. The festival will be installed on Avenida Paseo de la Reforma, covering the area from the Glorieta del Ángel de la Independencia to the Fuente de la Diana Cazadora, and in the Bosque de Chapultepec.

The festival will showcase cultural activities from the 32 states of Mexico, including exhibitions, handicrafts, and local products. The event aims to involve the local population in the tourist activities by bringing the Tianguis to the streets.

Tourism is a significant contributor to the economy in Mexico City and the country as a whole. In Mexico City, it represents 9.1 percent of the city’s GDP, and at the country level, it is 18.74 percent of the country’s tourism GDP. Approximately 14 percent of employment in Mexico City is related to tourism.

The Tourist Tianguis will take place from March 26 to 29 at the Citibanamex Center, where economic and business activities will be held. The event has already attracted 1,113 national and international buyers, 685 companies from 55 countries, and 1,097 exhibitors.

The Tianguis will also have an academic program featuring keynote speeches from prominent figures such as Rosario Marín, the first woman from Mexico to be treasurer of the United States, and Carlos Slim, president of the Telmex board of directors.

Registration for the event is available on the event page (tianguisturistico.com), with a cost of $200 for buyers and $300 for average participants. The extension of the event, the Mexico City Tourist Festival, is free for visitors and residents of the city.
