This beautiful architectural gem, which has been in existence for over 400 years, had been closed for several years due to various issues. The local government has finally taken the necessary steps to reopen it to the public, and it is now once again the site of many religious celebrations.<\/p><p>The San Mateo Convent was originally built in the 16th century and has been a central part of the community&#8217;s religious and cultural heritage for centuries. The Convent has been the site of many important religious events, including Masses, processions, and other religious ceremonies. For years, it was a thriving center of worship and spiritual life for the people of Cuautla.<\/p><p>Unfortunately, over time, the Convent fell into disrepair, and it was eventually closed to the public due to safety concerns. This was a major disappointment for the community, as the Convent had been a source of pride and joy for generations.
